PURPOSE:To realize an ultrasonic motor capable of being step-driven sequentially without control such as feedback. CONSTITUTION:An oscillation mode is formed in the selective direction by rigidity, the distribution of mass and the addition of a piezoelectric element. Travelling waves by at least two standing-wave excitation and the oscillation of standing waves by standing-wave excitation are changed over, and excitation is conducted. An escape section 51 is formed at the position of the antinode of the oscillation mode at the time of the excitation of standing waves in a stator 2, and contacting sections 52 are formed at the positions of nodes. |
