PURPOSE:To provide very excellent corrosion resistance against corrosive components in combustion gas by forming of an aluminum alloy containing special composition, and connecting fins to a feed water tube by brazing in a state that a thickness of an intermetallic compound layer generated at a connecting part is 60mum or less. CONSTITUTION:A feed water tube 1 is formed of iron or iron-based alloy, and a fin 2 is formed of an aluminum alloy containing a special composition, i.e., an aluminum alloy containing 0.7% or less of Mg, 1.0% or less of Cu, 0.1-1.5% of Si, 0.5-1.5% of Mn and the balance of Al and unavoidable impurities. The fins 2 are connected to the tube 1 by brazing in a state that a thickness of an intermetallic compound product layer formed on a connecting part is 60mum or less thereby to constitute a heat exchanger for a bath furnace, a hot water supplying apparatus, etc. Thus, as compared with a conventional copper heat exchanger, very excellent corrosion resistance against corrosion components contained in combustion gas can be provided.
