PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a trouble such as wire disconnection due to the movement of a recording head by fixing the recording head and printing an evaluation pattern, moving a recording material. CONSTITUTION:A work (recording head) is attached to a work fixing part 502-1 on a rotary table. After recovery procedures, the work is set to a printing position by rotating the table so that an evaluation pattern is printed. A recording material is wound around a feed reel 710 and the reel shaft of a sheet winding reel 702 is rotated using a motor to take up the material with the reel 702. The reel 702 is arranged on a sheet feed unit table. The unit table is fixed to a vertically driven stage which moves in Y direction on a sheet movement stage, and is further moved in X direction (measurement part) with the sheet movement stage by driving a drive motor. A printed web is moved as far as a measurement position and is photographed using an imaging device 801, 802. The image thus obtained is processed as specified using an image processing device. |
