PURPOSE:To enable an appearance inspection of a brush filling portion to be performed easily and highly accurately and inspection operability to be improved by allowing an image processing mechanism to set a window within a camera image and then adding concentration of a window image in X and Y directions and then storing its total value. CONSTITUTION:When a proper number of brushes stay at an entrance guide of a brush carrying-in mechanism 1, they are shifted by rotation of a sub-table 2, are gripped one by one by a chucking head 30 which is provided at a turntable 3 and are transported, and an image of a filling portion of a brush B is taken at a position, where a lighting mechanism 7 and a camera 8 for inspection are located, which becomes a measurement position during transportation. Then, image processing is performed through a position compensation unit including a window setting which is located at an image processing mechanism 9 being connected to the camera 8 for inspection and an image memory unit which compares an inspection result, thus enabling conforming and non-conforming articles to be determined. Then. after the image is taken in, projection operation is performed, an image which is captured after compensating for a position is digitized and then an area value for each window is counted and then it is compared with a reference value. |
