PURPOSE:To execute the translation without deteriorating the facility for understanding the whole sentence, even in the case an unregistered word exists in a noun phrase. CONSTITUTION:An input part 1 inputs a sentence of first language (for instance, English), and a dictionary 3 stores vocabulary information of first language and second language (for instance, Japanese). A syntax analyzing part 2 analyzes a syntax of a sentence of first language, and by using a result of syntax analysis by the syntax analyzing part 2, a translation of second language is generated by a generating part 4. An output part 5 outputs the translation generated by the generating part 4. At the time of executing the translation from first language to second language, in the case a word which is not registered in the dictionary exists in a noun phrase, the translation is generated by setting an equipment word of the whole noun phrase as a spelling of first language. |
