PURPOSE:To select the word consisting of a KANJI (Chinese character) being suitable for a context by displaying a semantics of the word outputted as a homonym on a part of a screen. CONSTITUTION:The word processor is provided with a KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) table 16 formed by connecting a word consisting of a KANA and a homonym of a KANJI corresponding thereto by a pointer, and a KANJI/dictionary file 17 for storing an address containing a sentence for explaining a semantics of the corresponding word of a dictionary file 18 in which a KANJI and a sentence for explaining a semantics of its KANJI are stored in an address stored in this KANA/KANJI table. When a dictionary display command is inputted from an input device 11, the semantics of the word is displayed on a display window of a part of the screen. |
