A WATER-IMPERMEABLE SEALING MAT CONSISTING SUBSTANTIALLY OF A SUBSTRATE LAYER, AN INTERLAYER OF SWELLABLE CLAY, AND A COVER LAYER A water impermeable sealing mat and a method for producing same are provided.
