The present invention relates to the treatment and storage of grass/hay products which are tied together into round bales 2 and are bound with rope, cords, tape or the like. The object of the present invention is to achieve an improved storage of round bales 2 of this type. To this end, the round bales 2, after having been bound as above, that is to say without further treatment such as acid treatment and/or packaging, are placed one on top of the other, on end, in a silo 1a-1g forming part of a plant comprising a plurality of upright, possibly fitted-together silos 1a-1g. Each silo is configured and dimensioned in such a way in the transverse direction that it is able to receive round bales 2 on end with little clearance and it has an upper filling and take-out opening which can be closed by means of a cover. <IMAGE> |
