<p>For lifting and lowering a hollow vessel (11), such as a silo, container or the like, from or onto a vehicle (1) with an exchanging device having a tilting frame (5), which pivots on the back of the vehicle chassis (3) and can move by means of a tipping cylinder (8) supported on the chassis and which has a slide (10) which can be displaced on the tilting frame (5) by means of associated actuating devices, the slide being equipped with a stop (13) which can engage with the corresponding fitting (12) on the vessel (11), in order to deposit the vessel (11) the slide (10) is first run in until the rear end of the vessel (11) projects over the rear of the vehicle (4) by a predetermined length. The tipping frame (5) is then tilted until the bottom area (15) on the rear end of the vessel lies on the surface of the carriageway. The actuating elements for the slide (10) are then switched to free running and, when the vehicle brakes have been released, the tipping frame (5) is tilted further until the vessel (11) stands upright on its rear end and the stop (13) and fitting (12) can be disengaged. The reverse procedure is followed for lifting the vessel. <IMAGE> </p> |
