<p>A plant for washing soiled eggs, comprising a conveyor belt (1) without carriers. The top side of this conveyor has a trough-shaped part (6, 7) projecting into a liquid bath. A number of brushes (12) are provided above the sloping belt part (7) which moves upwards during operation. These brushes are connected by means of a transmission to an eccentric (16), which drives the brushes along such a closed path that the bottom route of the movement path of said brushes runs approximately parallel to said sloping belt part (7) and is directed upwards at an angle. The brushes (12) have two functions: to clean the eggs, and to convey the eggs upwards along the sloping part (7).</p> |
