Acrylic polymer partially esterified with a fatty acid obtained from at least one monomer chosen from the following classes with relative proportions of: - 5 to 60 % by weight of groups originating from the olefinic polymerisation of styrene or of alpha -methylstyrene or of vinyltoluene, - 10 to 70 % by weight of groups originating from the olefinic polymerisation of a hydroxyalkyl acrylate or methacrylate, - 5 to 60 % by weight of groups originating from the olefinic polymerisation of one or more alkyl mono-, di- or triacrylates or methacrylates, the quantity of fatty acid being from 10 to 25 % by weight with a view to obtaining a final product having an OH value of between 100 and 160.
