An antenna for transmitter and receiver of a portable radio appliance (cordless telephone, mobile telephone, pager, telepoint appliance and so forth) essentially consisting of two angular pieces of sheet-metal (2,3) which are arranged adjacently to one another. One of the two elements is stimulated by radio-frequency currents by means of a coaxial feedline (4). The second angular sheet-metal (3) is stimulated by the first sheet-metal angle via a radiation link (2). The angular pieces of sheet-metal (2,3) are identically oriented and the distance between them is significantly shorter at the extremity than at the bending tip of the apex line. This results in high reactive currents and low combined resistance. The antenna can also be modified by feeding both angular sheet-metal sections (2,3), dividing it into two identical part-antennas or several sections of angular sheet-metal. These sections of angular sheet metal can consist of metal foils which are applied to a plastic casing. In addition, an embodiment with angular wire is also possible. |
