COMPOSITION FOR PROMOTING HAIR GROWTH

A composition for a hair tonic comprises 0.1-30.0 prts cell protecting agent and 0.1-10.0 parts fennel extract as major effective components. The cell protecting agent contains more than one extract selected from leaves of gingko, persimmon, citrus unshiu peel, green tea, acacia and so forth. For the extraction of fennel an aqueous ethanol solution with a concentration of 30-100 parts is used and the weight ratio of fennel to ethanol solution is 1:5 - 1:20. The final concentration of the ethanol solution after extraction is 20-80 parts.
