PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound useful as an intermediate for production of new compound useful for coloring agent, etc. CONSTITUTION:A compound expressed by formula I (Z<1> is atom group necessary to form 5- to 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocycle; n is 0-1). The compound is obtained by reacting a compound expressed by formula II with a compound expressed by formula III using a solvent such as N,N- dimethylformamide or DMSO. A new compound expressed by formula IV (Z<2> is same as Z<1>; Q is group necessary to form methine compound; M<+> is monovalent cation; m is 0 or 1; p is 0 or 1) is obtained from the compound expressed by formula I.
