The invention is of the field of pressure measurement and its subject is a capacitive cell for differential pressure measurements and its method of employment. This cell, of the type comprising a cylindrical body (2) shaped into a dish (4) on at least one of its faces, and a membrane (6) applied onto the said face, the body and the membrane each including one capacitor electrode (plate) (8, 8') and their connection (16, 16') and being sealed to each other by a sealing joint (12), is mainly characterised in that the membrane rests on a seat (10) made on the periphery of the dish, the said sealing joint, made of glass paste, at least one part (12') of which is electrically conducting and provided with connection means (16) so as to extend the connection of the capacitor electrode of the membrane, being situated inside a peripheral recess (14) made on the periphery of the seat. <IMAGE>
