PURPOSE:To improve the recovery percentage of a carbon dioxide and to improve the efficiency of a total system by providing combustion equipment for burning at least part of an off gas exhausted from an adsorption type gas separator. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a system for supplying a fuel-based gas (a) to the anode 2 of a fuel cell main body 1, a system for supplying an air-based gas (d) to a cathode 3, an adsorption type gas separator 6 for recovering a carbon dioxide contained in an anode outlet gas (b), and combustion equipment 16 for burning at least part of an off gas released from the separator 6. This obtains a gas (i) having a temperature of about 1200 degrees C and consisting mainly of carbon dioxide free from combustible component. The efficiency of a total system is increased by recovering the resulting heat by a heat exchanger 17. In addition, the improvement and the effective utilization of the recovery percentage of the carbon dioxide are available by supplying the gas (i) to the cathode 3. |
