The invention relates to a system for the progressive counter-intrusion defence of a zone. This system comprises: - a battery of launcher tubes (T1 to T4) mounted on the zone to be defended, the launcher tubes being loaded with munitions and being oriented in elevation and in azimuth in such a way that the points of impact (I1 1 to I1 4, I2 1 to I2 4, I3 1 to I3 4) of the munitions are located along lines (L1 to L4) substantially in the form of concentric arcs of a circle, centred on the battery of launcher tubes and having the same angle of divergence ( alpha ), the munitions being, because of this, active in zones (Z1 to Z3) located around the said lines: - at least one launcher (L) for controlling the firing of the launcher tubes, - means of detection (C1 to C4) disposed in the said zones (Z1 to Z3) in order to detect a presence there, - and a centralised control unit (12). <IMAGE>
