PURPOSE:To provide a refreshing fabric by adhering a specific amount of a menthol compound or its microcapsules to a fiber base fabric. CONSTITUTION:A fiber base fabric is immersed in an ethanol solution of menthol compound (e.g. 3-1-menthoxypropane-1,2-diol) to adhere the compound to the fabric in an amount of 0.05-5% owt, or especially preferably immersed in a mixture solution containing microcapsules and a polyurethane or acrylic resin as a binder to adhere the microcapsules to both the sides of the fabric in an amount of 0.05-5% owt to produce a refreshing fabric having excellent refreshing touch and good washing resistance. The microcapsules comprise the menthol compound encapsuled in a melamine resin as a wall material. The fabric is especially suitable for thin pantyhoses, T-shaped shirts for sports, etc., which are worn in summer. |
