Printer with an LED including: a lower body (1); an upper body (2) mounted removably on the lower body (1); an LED support (3) including a lever (3'), mounted on the upper body (2) in order to support a row of heads with LEDs (4); a spring (5) linking the right-hand end part of the LED support (3) and the upper body (2); and a processing unit (6) including a front upper end (7), which contains a photosensitive drum (11); in which the row of LED heads (4) is mounted under the right-hand end part of the LED support (3), and the front upper end pushes the lever (3') when the processing unit (6) is put in place within the upper body (2), in such a way that the spacing between the photosensitive drum (11) and the LED head row (4) is held in an appropriate way. The LED support (3) pivots about a hinge (8) to the rest position by the return force of the spring (5) linking the upper body (2) and the LED support (3).
