<p>PURPOSE: To provide the function of a data bank(DB) in a recording medium for DB by reproducing and displaying information recorded in the DB recording medium together with video information according to a prescribed function when the DB is requested. CONSTITUTION: Infrared rays IR sent from a remote transmitter are received by a remote reception part 90, and the function designated by a user and key data corresponding to the information are supplied to a system controller 10. The data flowing from this controller 10 are converted to analog signals by a data processing part 51 and supplied through a 2nd control switch SW2 to 1st and 2nd heads 23 and 24 for data. At the time of reproducing, the analog signals flowing from the heads 23 and 24 through the switch SW2 are demodulated, and reproduced digital data are supplied to the controller 10. In this case, superimposed character data sent through an on-screen display circuit 60 and video signals from a video processing part 50 are mixed by a mixer 70 and supplied to a display and the video recording and reproducing system.</p> |
