A joint by electric welding includes a main body, in the proximity of the joining surface of which a magnetic alloy material continuing in its axial direction is embedded. In the part to form a cold zone on the outer surface of the main body, a shielding member is provided. The joining surface of the main body is brought into contact with the one of the member to be joined. In this status, when a high frequency current is applied to the magnetic alloy material by electromagnetic induction, the magnetic alloy material generates heat, and the main body is joined by fusing to the member to be joined. Since the shielding member shields the magnetic alloy material from electromagnetic waves, the material doesn't generate heat, and the cold zone is formed in the part thereof.
