The metal can has two circumferential lines (1) of reduced wall thickness. Each line (1) is at a distance equal to the radius of the can from one end of the can. These circumferential lines may be joined by two diametrically opposite lines of reduced wall thickness. Thess lines of reduced wall thickness enable a used can to be pressed flat and folded in order to facilitate recycling as cans in the flattened condition require less storage space and are more easily transported.
