An embroidery machine has a series of needles on a frame driven from a central shaft across the frame. The thread take-up lever has a separate drive and follows the needle. Each unit is suspended between two arms attached to the frame which contains the moving parts associated with the needle bar. Pref. the body of the frame has two bracket arms made in aluminium. Each needle unit has a needle and needle bar driven from the eccentric, from the drive shaft held in the bearing. The parts are supported in a block which is suspended between the two bracket arms at the ribs of the profile. Above and below the brackets, the unit is locked into adjustable positions. The thread take-up lever is separately driven with a backward and forward motion. This may be disconnected by the device. Included in the profile of the bottom bracket is a cable channel. An attachment is made below for a cutter motion drive for a thread cutter close to the needle. ADVANTAGE - The construction permits a single unit on the frame to perform independently.
