Effluent air emerging from a paint spraying booth is directed through an air filter incorporating active carbon granules to adsorb solvent and other residues. The novelty is that the active adsorption material is incorporated within modules which may be exchanged with replacements which have been regenerated in a separate desorption unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement facilitates the separate construction of a desorption plant in which the adsorption modules are regenerated.
