PURPOSE:To simplify copy processing work and to prevent picture quality from being lowered by reducing and storing image information as needed while turning the direction of the image, synthesizing and editing the plural kinds of image information while linking the information in the same state as an original. CONSTITUTION:For example, in the case of executing a synthesizing and copying process while reducing an original G in an A2 size into an A3 size, a first half part G1 of the original G is set, a system control part 113 instructs image reading to a scanner control part 11, moves an optical system 401 and operates a line image sensor 402, and the first half part G1 is read. Afterwards, the image is inputted through an image processing part 102 to an image processing part 103. The image processing part 103 executes correction so that the size can be reduced into an A4 size and the image direction can be turned by 90 deg.. Next, a remaining latter half part G2 is similarly worked while turning the original G by 180 deg., and the result is displayed at an operation display part 110. The obtained A4 size information of the G1 and G2 obtains the same copied image as the case of reducing the A2 size original G onto A3 size recording paper sheets as it is. |
