Bird protection fitting, covering support insulators on outdoor masts - has U=shaped cover sections with V=shaped, widening shank walls, integral with central hood

The fitting has a central hood, matching the support insulator outer dia., with cover sections adjacent to its both sides to be set over the conductor cables. The cover sections are U-shaped and have V-shaped widening shank walls, integrally formed with the hood in a rigid connection. On the hood inside wall, facing the support insulators (14 - 17), several uniformly, peripherally divided protrusions extend along a central line. A second protrusion is provided on the inside of the traverse of each cover section. The protrusions abut the outer surface of the support insulators and the conductor cable (24) respectively with an intermediate spacing. USE/ADVANTAGE - For MV trunk lines, with simple design and easy assembly.
