摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the detection of lock-up and the control for a damper clutch by automatically setting the connection state of the damper clutch of a lock-up mechanism by applying the hydraulic pressure proportional to the square of the number of engine revolution, in the setting of the connection state of the damper clutch. CONSTITUTION:A fluid type transmission device (a) equipped with a lock-up mechanism is interposed between an engine (b) and an automatic transmission (c). In this case, the lock-up mechanism is equipped with the first hydraulic chamber for press-attaching a damper clutch to a pump impeller side by the inflow of oil and the second hydraulic chamber for separating the damper clutch from the pump impeller on the contrary. The connection state between an oil passage for the communication to both the hydraulic chambers and an oil passage for the communication to a pressure adjusting valve is selected by a damper clutch control valve. When the engine stops, the damper clutch control valve is fixed at a position where the oil passage is set for the second hydraulic chamber, by the damper clutch control valve. While, in traveling, the hydraulic pressure proportional to the square of the number of engine revolution is applied to the first hydraulic chamber by the damper clutch control valve.
