<p>Method to determine the position of an optical position sensitive device - PSD - in a semiconductor, relative to a light source, having electrical contacts at both far ends of the PSD, in the direction in which the position is to be measured, using both currents into which the photo current is divided to both contacts, with the aid of electronic signal conditioning and a device which performs this method, using two position currents generated by the illuminated PSD, and an AD converter in order to obtain the position of the PSD in a digital format, thereby correcting for unwanted electrical and/or optical disturbances with respect to two corresponding position currents generated by the PSD not under illumination. <IMAGE></p> |
