When required, the walkway grating (3) can be moved out of the magazine (4) into the paint spray cabin inner space. The grating comprises a number of horizontal, complete, adjacent, individual elements (3') in the form of a roller grating. Outside of its operating position it hangs vertically in the magazine, its constituents stacked one on top of the other. Movement in and out of the magazine is by motor drive (5) in or transversally to the delivery direction of the paint workpiece conveyor system. The magazine to accommodate the grating moved out of its operating position is located beneath the operating plane (E) of the walkway. The individual elements (3') of the grating are located by running rollers (6) on both sides in corresp. horizontal guide rails (7), and are connected to one another by draw elements (8) and to the tractive component (9) of the motor drive (5). A ramp (10) is provided at the transition from the guide rails into the magazine. USE/ADVANTAGE - For paint spray cabins, to obviate soiling of the walkway grating alongside it.
