Digital signal processing system for real time detection of video signal form - generates binary sequence of grey values using memory and register with bits fed back to form memory address and single bit output sequence

The digital signal processing system is used to identify image features in a video signal by processing a sequence of grey value intensity signals. The system has a memory (3) with a capacity of 32 k words and a register (4) with an 8 bit capacity. A 1 bit single sequence is generated as output from the register and the remaining 7 bits are fed back to form a 15 bit address for the memory. The process is continuous under the control of a clock signal. Depending upon the amplitude of the input signal values, the output will be either `1' or `0'.
