摘要 |
A terminal clamp (1, 1') establishes an electric connection of an electric lead to, e.g. the accumulator of a motor vehicle. The terminal clamp has inclined surfaces (6). These are forced to move relative to each other in the circumferential direction upon tightening of a tensioning screw (3) running parallel to the axis of the lead to be gripped. Thus the lead is gripped circumferentially. At least the receiving part (2) is made in one piece from a punched metal sheet. The inclined surfaces are formed on folded over tongues (7) of the sheet. The tongues fit into slots (5, 5') in a part (4) to prevent them breaking off. The width of the slots in the circumferential direction of the clamp is greater than the corresp. length of the tongues. An end (5E, 5E') of the slots forms a contour for the tongues on which the inclined surfaces are opened to produce the relative movement. ADVANTAGE - Secure, reliable clamp which allows savings on material and weight while maintaining clamp effectiveness.
