PURPOSE:To establish bending oscillations having same amplitudes by locating electromechanical energy converting elements for exciting respective bending oscillations at a position where the total distortion or the electromechanical energy converting elements will be constant thereby feeding driving signals having same amplitudes to two phase piezoelectric elements. CONSTITUTION:If the total distortion of bending oscillations of piezoelectric elements a1, a2 for phase A and B constituting an oscillator is constant, bending oscillations having same amplitudes are produced upon application of same voltages. The piezoelectric elements a1, a2 for phase A and B are arranged on the opposite sides of the peak of a distortion curve. Consequently, a plurality of driving signals having temporal phases for driving an ultrasonic motor may have same amplitudes, resulting in enhancement of the efficiency of ultrasonic motor and simplification of driving circuit. |
