PURPOSE:To provide a method of manufacturing a rubber roller by a method wherein the rubber roller is efficiently manufactured by automatizing the movement of the roller and, at the same time, facilitating the handling of maskings. CONSTITUTION:Liquid rubber is applied onto the outer periphery of a roller 1 under the condition that the roller 1 is clamped by centering with clamping rods 5 after roller 1 is lifted to its rubber coating position with work lifts 4. After that, maskings 3 are disengaged from journals 2a by actuating masking holding arms 7 and, in succession, the clamping rods 5 are separated from the journals 2a and finally the roller 1 is moved with the work lifts. The above- mentioned procedure is repeated. |
