This safety device makes it possible to control a lock mechanism by means of a driving element (3) which is coupled axially to a cylinder (1) mounted rotatably in a body (2) and actuable by a key, this device being characterised in that the cylinder (1) or the driving element (3) comprises deformable tabs (P) capable of blocking the cylinder (1) - driving-element (3) assembly in the body (2) under the effect of a forcing action by driving in the cylinder by means of a tool or a false key.
