The rectangular tank (10) is for the fuel for the IC engine of a vehicle. It has a middle reserve section (16) with suction and return pipes (30,40) and parallel oppositely opening delivery pipes (42,44) near the floors of the tanks projecting through the dividing walls (18,20). The delivery pipes ensure that when the fuel drops below a certain level, e.g. when refuelling is required or when the vehicle is negotiating a curve, the fuel remaining in the reservoir section can flow unaffected by inertia forces.
