<p>PURPOSE:To attain instruction input in addition to coordinate input by treating position specification as an operation control starting command for a specific equipment in an information processor when an area identifying means detects the position specification in an instruction input area of a coordinate input means. CONSTITUTION:An area whose position is to be specified by a stylus pen 4 is divided into a coordinate information input part 2 and a function (instruction) input part 3. At the time of identification that a coordinate value indicating an inputted coordinate signal is the area of the function input part 3, a control processor 6 furthermore identifies the depressed area in the input part 3. The processor 6 reads out a control program corresponding to the depressed area from a memory in a host computer 12 and executes the operation control of a specific apparatus in the host computer 12 instead of a CPU 9. Consequently a back light ON/OFF instruction e.g. can be inputted in addition to coordinate input and the processing load of the CPU 9 can also be reduced.</p> |
