<p>PURPOSE: To extend a high-frequency luminance signal component included in a luminance signal component reduced at reproduction accurately to an original frequency band by separating frequency superimposing information, inserted into a luminance signal and recording the frequency superimposing information together with the luminance signal. CONSTITUTION: A moving signal separate section 322 separates a moving signal from a digital composite video signal, a luminance signal separate section 320 separates a luminance signal inserted spatially and timewise, properly mixes the luminance signal with the moving signal, a frequency-superimposing section 330 applies sub-Nyquist sampling to a high-frequency component attenuated by a superimposed carrier, a frequency-superimposing insert circuit 340 inserts field-dependent frequency superimposing information for an n-th horizontal scanning period in the luminance signal, and a luminance signal recording device 350 is used to apply frequency modulation. A chrominance signal separator 321 separates a chrominance signal, and a chrominance signal recording device 370 applies amplitude modulation to the chrominance signal. A chrominance/luminance signal mixer 380 records the frequency- modulated luminance signal and the amplitude-modulated chrominance signal on a magnetic tape by a magnetic head 390.</p> |
