PURPOSE:To obtain a composition providing marble-like molded articles suitable for kitchen counter, etc., having excellent water resistance, transparent feeling and strength by blending a resin composition having a specific composition with a fiber reinforcing agent in a specific ratio and press molding. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. composition comprising (A) 100 pts.wt. unsaturated polyester obtained by reacting an alpha,beta-ethylenic unsaturated dibasic acid with a polyhydric alcohol, (B) 10-200 pts.wt. side chain double bond type polymer prepared by reacting a polymer containing glycidyl group at the side chain with (meth)acrylic acid and/or a side chain double bond type polymer prepared by reacting a polymer a polymer containing an acid anhydride group at the side chain with an acryloyl group-containing unsaturated alcohol, (C) 20-200 pts.wt. copolymerizable monomer which is copolymerizable with the components A and B and dissolves the components A and B and (D) 200-1,000 pts.wt. inorganic filler is blended with (E) 1-50 pts.wt. fiber reinforcing material to give the objective composition. Styrene, etc., are preferable as the component C. |
