Hardener for synthetic resins contg. COOH gps able to form esters and/or amides is (A) the Micheal adduct of (B) a cpd contg ester gps capable of Micheal addn on (C) a cpd contg. at least 2 double bonds capable of Micheal addn. The (A) mol has polymerisable double bond(s) and at least 2 gps capable of ester and/or amide exchange; and (B) is a reaction prod. of (bi) CH-active alkyl esters and (b2) polyisocyanates. Pref. (C) is an ester, amide or urea deriv of an alpha, beta-olefinically unsatd. mono- or dicarboxylic acid, pref. (meth) acrylic, dimethylacrylic, crotonic, maleic or fumaric acid. The pref. derivs. are (1) an ester of a polyol, esp. an alkanediol di(meth)acrylate, trimethylolpropane tri(meth)acrylate or pentaerythritol tetra(meth)acrylate; or a mixed ester of an alpha, beta-olefinically unsatd. dicarboxylic acid, diol and glyceryl ester of a 9-11C carboxylic acid ; 2) a substd. urethane or substd. urea of the formula (Ac-E-D)m-Xm (I); Xm=the m-valent radical R(NHCO)m of a multifunctional isocyanate; with R=an m-valent hydrocarbon gp., which may have hetero-atoms in the chain; and m=2 or more, pref 2-10; Ac=the acyl gp of an alpha, beta-olefinically unsatd. mono- or dicarboxylic acid; D=an amino(cyclo) alkylene or O-(cyclo)alkylene gp; with E=an amido gp. or O; esp.
