PURPOSE:To provide a camera provided with the automatic light control device accurately detecting reflected light component of a flashing device at a preliminary light emission, accurately grasping the state of distribution and intensity of reflected light of the flash from a material existing in a subject field, and carrying out an appropriate light control of a main light emission. CONSTITUTION:The device is at least provided with the following means. The light emitted from the flashing device 11 and reflected at the subject field is measured at a photometry means 13. Stationary light component other than the light emitted by the flashing device 11 reflected at the subject field is eliminated from a photometric value at the time of the preliminary light emission measured at the photometry means 13, and the photometric value at the preliminary light emission is compensated by a photometric value compensation means 31. The appropriate light control of the main light emission is carried by the light control means 31 and 50 controlling the main light emission of the flashing device 11 based on the photometric value compensated by the before mentioned photometric value compensation means 31. |
