PURPOSE:To provide a water-soluble lubricant composition which does not exert undesirable influences (eutrophication and acid rain) on the earth's environment and is excellent in lubricating property, prevention of metal corrosion, antifoaming property and putrefaction resistance. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble lubricant composition containing a surfactant and one or two salts selected from carboxylic acid salts and sulfonic acid salts, wherein the one or two salts are an alkaline earth metal salt, zinc salt or lead(II) salt, and the nitrogen content in the water-soluble lubricant composition is 0.5 pts.wt. or less based on 100 pts.wt. of the whole lubricant composition. |
