PURPOSE:To obtain a foamable thermoplastic resin sheet product having a strength larger than ever out of a smaller amount of materials. CONSTITUTION:After foamable thermoplastic resin sheet such as polystyrene is expanded T2 up to 75-85% of the maximum free expansion thickness T, the formed thermoplastic resin sheet is transferred in a matched mold, the maximum clearance T2 in which is smaller than the maximum expansion thickness, so that the cavity is evacuated from both sides of the mold and in-mold foamed in order to obtain final product thickness. |
