COMPOSITE CERAMIC MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a ceramic material having excellent heat-resistance and high toughness and strength without deteriorating the characteristic features of alumina matrix, usable as a structural material and giving a composite ceramic material having dense and fine texture and remarkably improved mechanical properties such as bending strength. CONSTITUTION:The objective composite ceramic material contains 15-40vol.% of fine TiB2 particles having particle diameter of <=2mum and dispersed in alumina matrix crystal particles having particle diameter of 0.5-10mum.
