The machine has a cylindrical cutter and bottom blade with a support for the fabric in two parts with a central trough. The second part of the support table is able to move and be fixed, relative to the first part. The first part has laminations at each side to adjust the height at the selvedge. The cylinder has a series of spirally set blades to act against a bottom blade which shears at the cutting edge. This shears the pile of a carpet or the free standing fibres of a fabric according to requirements and for which the machine is preset. The bottom support has a section to angle the material for a firm support. ADVANTAGE - The machine is adaptable to a variety of fabrics with different requirements of shearing. Setting up time is reduced. Economical plant utilisation.
