Service tender (D) for a group of parallel spinning frames (G), moves upon a track (1) across the ends of the frames (SF) towards any frame which is emitting (LS) a call signal, specifically for roving bobbins change. A control box (20) registers the call signal (LS) and identifies the calling frame (LS), senses the instantaneous location of the service tender (D), and causes it to travel, in the appropriate one of two directions, straight to the calling frame.
