PURPOSE:To surely and easily detect the floating of a terminal based on the light-and-shade of the shade of the terminal of a multi-terminal electronic parts generated on a screen. CONSTITUTION:This detector is equipped with a measuring beam illuminator 20 which projects a measuring beam, the screen 17 arranged within the range of the measuring beam and comprised of a translucent body on one plane confronting with the measuring beam illuminator 20 of which the multi-terminal electronic parts 1 are arranged, a CCD camera 30 arranged at the back side of the screen 17 by confronting image pickup plane 30a and which image-picks up the shade of the multi-terminal electronic parts displayed on the screen 17, and an image processing device 31 which detects the floating of the terminal 2 based on the light-and-shade of the shade of the terminal 2 of the multi- terminal electronic component 1 image-picked up by the CCD camera 30 are provide.
