PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound useful as a treating agent for circulatory system diseases such as hypertension, heart diseases or cerebral apoplexy, having antagonism on angiotensin II. CONSTITUTION:A compund shown by formula I [R<1> is H or (substituted) hydrocarbon; R2 is H, halogen, nitro, (substituted)amino, formyl or (substituted) hydrocarbon; R<3> is (substituted)hydrocarbon; R<4> is H, halogen or nitron; R<5> is group capable of forming anion or changing into anion; X is direct bond or bonded through spacer with 1 atomic chain containing O, N and S; Y is direct bond of phenylene and phenyl or bond wherein phenylene and phenyl are bonded through spacer with <=2 atomic chain; (n) is 1 or 2] such as 6- methylthio-3-propyl-1-[[2'-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)biphenyl-4-yl]pyrimidine- 2,4-(1H,3H)- dione. The compund shown by formula I is obtained by reacting a compund shown by formula II with a nucleophilic agent shown by formula III in a solvent such as acetonitrile in the presence of a base such as sodium carbonate. |
