PURPOSE:To obtain the toner with which excellent fixability is obtainable under a low pressure even in fixing not only to paper but to other transfer media, such as plastic films, as well as which is used at the time of developing electrical latent images and magnetical latent images by using a specific near infrared sensitive compsn. as a fixer. CONSTITUTION:This toner is formed of a core material contg. the fixer and coloring material and a wall film material coating this material. The fixer to be incorporated into the core material consists of the near infrared sensitive compsn. which can be cured by infrared rays of >=700nm wavelength. For example, a compsn. contg. the near infrared absorptive cation dye-borate anion complex expressed by formula I and an compsn. contg. an ethylenic unsatd. compd. as active molecules is preferably exemplified. In the formula, D<+> is a cation dye having absorption in a near infrared region; at least one piece of R1 to R4 are 1 to 8C alkyl group and the balance are hydrocarbon or heterocyclic group. This toner does not cause a degradation in the strength of the paper and the excess gloss of the paper and allows high-speed fixing with low energy consumption. |
