PURPOSE:To prevent a card from being illegally used by any person except a proper card user. CONSTITUTION:In a CPU to judge the IC card as the proper card with a built-in EEPROM to store the plural groups of personal identification numbers in the IC card, the IC card is judged as proper one when the plural groups of personal identification numbers inputted through the number keys of a collating machine are totally coincident with the plural groups of personal identification numbers in the EEPROM of the IC card. Thus, even when the IC card is lost or stolen, the card is prevented from being illegally used, and the effect of improving safety is obtained. |
