PURPOSE:To easily make a destination position correspond to a map with simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:A bar code indicating the section of a map on generally used printed matter is added in or nearby the map to display which position on the map a current position is according to detected current position data and section data obtained from the bar code. A current position detecting means 1 detects the current position of this device and outputs current position information (XG, YG) to an arithmetic means 2. A bar code read means 3, on the other hand, reads the bar code 5, reads display section information R of the map 10, and outputs it to the arithmetic means 2. The arithmetic means 2 calculates the current position of the navigation device on the map 10 from the information (XG, YG) and display section data R. The calculated in-map position of the navigation device is displayed on a display means 4. |
